ABOUT HER

Kristen Smith is a recent graduate of Ryerson’s Bachelor of Architectural Science program. Past experience with Ryerson’s [R]ed[U]x lab includes the 2016 Nuit Blanche installation Somnium. Hailing from Kingston, Ontario, she maintains a passion for architectural research, writing, and cross-discipline exploration. She has worked in fields ranging from heritage conservation to landscape ecology, both in Canada and abroad.

Currently, she is investigating heritage recording techniques in Ottawa and will be pursuing her Master of Architecture degree in 2017 with a thesis focus on evidence-based architectural design.
